Fortune of Wolves
Fortune of Wolves is a play by Canadian playwright Ryan Griffith. It made its world premiere at Theatre New Brunswick in 2017 and was published by Playwrights Canada Press in 2019. Work on this audio series began in 2020 and was conceived as a way to bring together several New Brunswick artists of varying disciplines to work on a single project. In the end, we were able to feature 66 artists. Actors, radio hosts, musicians, technicians, comedians and visual artists make up some of the many voices featured throughout this 13-part audio series. We hope you enjoy the story as presented in this audio series. We hope to make more in the future. Thanks for listening. Lowell Garrish has lost everything--his parents, his grandma, the music the waves make on the shore in Nova Scotia. Desperate to hold on to real sound, Lowell sets off on a road trip across Canada with a tape recorder, capturing something from every person he meets and his observations along the way. But as he drives, strange occurrences and mass disappearances imply that something terrible is happening, and Lowell begins to realize that time for humanity may be running out.
This new 13-part audio series based on Griffith's epic play features the voices of over 60 New Brunswick artists and stars Jason McIntyre as Lowell Garrish.
